The Infamous German Beer Garden

Here is a little background on the Infamous German Beer gardens of Munich Germany....

A Beer garden is an open-air area where beer, other drinks and local foods are served. The concept originates from and is most common in Southern Germany (especially Bavaria). It is usually attached to a drinking establishment such as a public house or a beer hall, which in places such as Munich may serve large numbers of customers in the upwards of 8,000 people!

Although many German beer gardens are big enough to seat thousands of people, empty tables are often hard to find. It is common to share your table with people you don't know, so look out for free seats and make some new friends. Along with local beer, served in 1-liter steins, German beer garden specialties include:

Brotzeit - a platter with cold cuts, artisan cheese, sausages, pretzel, horseradish, and cucumbers
Obatzter - a soft, white cheese, mixed with onions and chives
Weisswurst – white sausage, complimented by sweet mustard and a pretzel
Kartoffelsalat - potatoes salad
Hendl - half a chicken

Two of the most well known are the two below!

Where to Start? What do you want Nashville?

So I have been running scenarios through my head the last couple of months and Im trying to figure out what directions to go? Brew Pub, full on Brewery with a tap room, or A Brewery with a Beer Garden (similar to German beer gardens) ...

They all have there pro and cons, but what direcion do you think we should go? Do you want a Brewery with a place to come hang out and relax with friends or would you raher have another straight up Micro Brewery in Nashville? Either way your still gonna get great beer! We would love to know your thoughts. What do you want Nashville?
